Chairman of the Board of Directors
Mr. Aqueel Merchant is a Chartered Accountant with a wealth of experience spanning more than 30 years in professional services, mainly in the area of business and management consulting.
His experience includes Banking and Financial Services, Manufacturing, Development, and Government and Public sector institutions, and spans countries including Pakistan, Afghanistan, UK, and Middle East.
He has led teams in Business, IT and HR transformations, Operational Improvements, Governance, Monitoring and Evaluation, Regulatory Compliance, Contract Management, and Risk Management.
Mr. Aqueel Merchant is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan.
Sajjad Habib
Senior Executive Officer
Mr. Sajjad Habib is the Senior Executive Officer at H Capital Limited. Mr. Sajjad brings over three decades of experience in banking, insurance, and asset management in the United Kingdom and the Middle East.
In 2002 Mr. Sajjad established H Capital Limited FZE in the United Arab Emirates and has been the Managing Director since the inception of the company. During this period, the company has worked with ng fund managers and banks including Man Investments, Société Générale, Coutts Bank, and Franklin Templeton.
Prior to his role as Managing Director, Mr. Sajjad was the Executive Director at Habibsons Bank Limited, United Kingdom. Mr. Sajjad started his career at Habibsons Bank where he held successively senior positions over a period of eleven years.
Mr. Sajjad belongs to the Dawood Habib family from Pakistan. The family is well known for its ng banking and financial services businesses, both in Pakistan and overseas, with diversified operations in trading and manufacturing. Mr. Sajjad has been actively involved with the group companies, and has most recently served on the boards of Habib Insurance Company Limited and Habib Asset Management Limited.
He holds a BSc in Economics – Finance from Bentley College, Waltham, Massachusetts, USA.
